Do I need to book in advance?
No — walk-ins are welcome throughout the day between 11am and 4pm. Booking via WhatsApp guarantees you a priority slot and skips any queue.
Will I receive cash on the day?
Yes. If you accept our offer, we can pay in cash, by bank transfer, or by cheque — your choice. There are no waiting periods and no fees.
Do I have to sell?
Not at all. The valuation is completely free with no obligation. Many people come simply to discover what their item is worth — perfect for insurance or estate planning.
What if my item is worth more at auction?
We will tell you. If we believe an auction sale will achieve a higher result, we will explain the consignment route — global bidder reach via EasyLiveAuction, transparent fees, and results within weeks.
Can you provide a written insurance valuation?
Yes. Written insurance valuation certificates on Vintage Pawnbrokers letterhead are available. These can be prepared following your appointment if requested.
How many items can I bring?
As many as you wish. House clearances, deceased estates, downsizing — bring it all. We have handled everything from a single ring to entire estates.
Is my visit confidential?
Completely. All valuations are private and discreet. We have built our reputation on handling high-value items with absolute confidentiality for over 20 years.
