£1,000 - £1,200
A VINTAGE PURPLE SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CLUSTER STRAP BRACELET. Designed in the mid-century watch style, featuring a central emerald-cut purple sapphire weighing approximately 1.75 carats. The sapphire is held within a tiered halo of twelve round brilliant-cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.70 carats (Assessed G/H, SI). The head is mounted to a substantial 9ct yellow gold Milanese mesh strap with a textured finish, terminating in a box clasp with dual safety figure-eight catches. Maker: Attributed to British manufacture (Look for clasp marks). Origin: United Kingdom. Material: 9ct Yellow Gold (Hallmarked '375'). Period: Circa 1965-1975. Dimensions: 7 Inches (Length); Head approx 14mm wide. Weight: 14.9g. Condition: Excellent vintage condition; stones secure; mesh remains fluid without kinks. Auctioneer's Note: An unusually heavy and striking piece; the use of a purple sapphire instead of traditional blue makes this a rare find for collectors of 1970s gold.
Good, wearable condition.
