A George VI sterling silver presentation dish by Viner's Ltd (Emile Viner), hallmarked Sheffield, 1947. Of circular form with a wide, plain rim and a deep well, this heavy-gauge dish (185g) displays the robust craftsmanship typical of Sheffield’s leading post-war silversmith. While the center shows signs of previous engraving removal, the piece remains a substantial and functional example of mid-century British silver.
