A fine WWI-period sterling silver lady's dance purse/card case, hallmarked Birmingham, 1915. The rectangular body with curved edges is exquisitely hand-engraved with floral scrollwork surrounding a vacant central cartouche. The case opens to reveal a pristine original concertina-style silk-lined interior and is fitted with a hallmarked suspensory chain.
